Overdose Victim Rescued In Rockland
Some fast-thinking first responders in Rockland County helped save the life of a woman suffering from a potentially fatal overdose. Officers from the Ramapo Police Department were dispatched to a home in Hillburn on Sunday, Aug. 18, where there was a call for a possible drug overdose. Upon arrival, officers found a woman who was unresponsive and without a pulse. One officer began CPR while the second administered Narcan to the woman. After several cycles of CPR and multiple doses of Narcan, the woman began to regain consciousness. Officers were assisted at the scene by Rockland Paramedics …

Double OD Incident Ends With One Fatality In Area
A double overdose ended with the death of one man in the area, police said. The incident took place around 7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 8, on Hillside Road, said Beacon Police Det. Sgt. Jason Johnson. An unidentified woman was saved with a dose of Narcan, he said. Another unidentified man was not able to be saved, Johnson said. Woman Who Overdoses In Stratford Saved By Quick Work Of First Responders
Stratford EMS personnel saved the life of an area woman from an overdose with quick work and help from Narcan, a medication used for overdoses. The life-saving action took place Sunday, July 28, when paramedic Mike Battistelli and EMT Michelle Edler along with Operations Supervisor Eileen Brophy responded with Stratford Fire Department first responders to the report of a 48-year-old woman overdosing, Stratford EMS said on their Facebook page. Elected and police officials in Connecticut are expressing concerns after there was a spike in overdose deaths - including five in 15 hours - involving fentanyl and other drugs. A pair of Long Valley police officers revived a man lying in the woods after overdosing on heroin, authorities said. Cpl. Rockland County will hold a free one-hour Narcan training session open to the public, County Executive Ed Day and Commissioner of Mental Health Michael Leitzes announced.
