A Harrison man was killed in a five-vehicle chain-reaction crash on Route 78 Thursday, May 28, New Jersey State Police said.
Troopers responded to the crash at 5:58 p.m. in the eastbound lanes near milepost 52.3 in Union Township, where an international box truck, Nissan SUV, GMC SUV, Jeep SUV, and Honda passenger vehicle had all been all traveling east when the crash occurred, Tpr. II Christopher Postorino said.

Suspect, Victims Identified In I-495 Mass Stabbing, Officer-Involved Shooting In Virginia
Four people were stabbed, a dog was killed, and two people are dead after an officer-involved shooting that shut down I-495 for hours on Sunday.
Virginia State Police have identified the suspect as Jared Llamado, 32, of McLean.
One of the stabbing victims who died has been identified as Michelle Adams, 39.
At around 1:20 p.m. on March 1, troopers were called to a stretch of the southbound lanes of the Capital Beltway near exit 52 to investigate a reported road rage incident.

NJ Extends Mandatory Travel Ban Amid Blizzard Conditions
A mandatory travel restriction has been extended across New Jersey as a severe winter storm continues to slam the state with heavy snow and strong winds, officials said.

A tractor-trailer hauling M&M candy crashed on Route 80 in Warren County, spilling its cargo across the roadway, authorities said.
At 10:17 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, Knowlton Township Fire & Rescue crews were dispatched to a two-tractor-trailer collision in the westbound lanes near the 2-mile marker, the department said.
