A wild scene erupted in West Haven over the weekend when a swarm of ATVs and dirt bikes tore through traffic, turning a quiet evening into chaos and violence, police said.
The group was “riding wheelies, speeding, and driving in the wrong lane” on Captain Thomas Boulevard around 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 22, creating a danger to other drivers on the road.

Two more arrests have been made relating to illegal car meetups in Philadelphia, according to police.
Joseph Cavanaugh, 21, of Levittown, and James Hare, 20, of Philadelphia, were arrested on Friday, Oct. 25, the Philadelphia Police Department said.
Both men were charged for their actions at a series of illegal car meetups that took place in various parts of the city beginning at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21 and ending at 4:33 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, according to police.
