A bear was killed when a pick-up truck hit it on US Route 15 in Pennsylvania on Wednesday, authorities say. A white pick-up truck hit the bear crossing Rt. 15 north a little after 10 a.m. on July 26, 2023, according to the Barlow Volunteer Fire Department. A 67-year-old man has died after his motorcycle hit a bear on Interstate 81 early on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, state police say. Frank J. Castrignano was heading south when the bear wandered onto the highway from the eastern shoulder, authorities said. The crash happened around 7:30 a.m. in Rice Township, according to State Police.
