The closures began at 5 p.m. Friday, April 6. Motorists are advised to expect significant delays. Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers. Traffic Congestion Alert Issued For White Plains Area Heads Up!  Traffic congestion is projected to impact access to White Plains from Tarrytown Road, also known as Route 119 in Greenburgh. On Wednesday, April 4,  work was to begin on two bridges that carry Metro-North commuter trains over Main Street and Hamilton Avenue in White Plains.  Greenburgh Police Chief Chris McNerney said,  "The MTA will be undertaking a major renovation of the White Plains Metro-North train station."
