Murphy Details Stages Leading To New Normal In NJ
Gov. Phil Murphy on Monday revealed the steps to New Jersey's "new normal," in announcing the signing of an executive order allowing additional outdoor recreation areas and businesses to reopen.
The goal moving forward is protecting New Jersey's workforce, the governor said.
"Together, we’re moving toward what we must all acknowledge will be a 'new normal,'" Murphy said. "We’re not nearly out of the woods yet, but we’re moving forward, carefully, methodically, and responsibly."

Gov. Ned Lamont is keeping Connecticut effectively closed down for non-essential business for at least another month due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, even as the number of hospitalizations statewide has begun to stabilize.
Lamont announced on Friday, April 10, that he is signing an executive order extending the deadlines for all of the previously enacted closures, distancing, and safety measures until at least Wednesday, May 20.
