17 Bridgeport Police Officers Cited For Misconduct In Internal Affairs Probe
A report released by the Bridgeport Police Department regarding actions taken by officers during a party in October 2017, has found that 17 officers were involved in some type of wrongdoing. According to the Connecticut Post, five officers and a civilian detention officer used excessive force, and 10 officers lied about their actions while breaking up a house party, an internal investigation found. Suspended Student's Appearance At School Sparks Poughkeepsie Police Probe
The principal of Poughkeepsie Middle School has been cleared of any wrongdoing by police after a complaint was filed regarding the use of excessive force in an incident involving a suspended student who returned to school. A 72-year-old man is attempting to sue the city of White Plains and police department, claiming that officers used excessive force during an attempted arrest last year. Charles Pateman is suing the city and its police department after he allegedly attempted to help break up a fight between his fiancee and her daughter last January, but found himself in handcuffs instead.
