Deputies arrested three drivers for DWI in Putnam County over the St. Patrick’s Day holiday weekend, authorities said.
The arrests took place in Southeast between Sunday, March 16, and Monday, March 17, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office announced on Wednesday, March 19.

The first arrest happened on Saturday, March 16, around 1 a.m., when a deputy on Route 22 spotted a vehicle swerving out of its lane and running a red light. A Clifton man was arrested for DWI after a five-car crash that left another driver seriously injured, police said.
Felix Gonzalez, 39, was taken into custody early Sunday, Feb. 23, after the crash at 2:11 a.m. near the intersection of Lexington Avenue and Highland Avenue, Clifton Police Lt. Robert Anderson said.
Two of the five vehicles involved were occupied, while three were parked, officials said. One adult male driver suffered serious injuries but is expected to survive, authorities said.
