Man Wanted For Stamford Stabbing Murder Extradited, Police Say
A 32-year-old Fairfield County man facing a murder charge for the 2021 stabbing death of a man found dead in a car was extradited some four months after his arrest.
Donald Copeland, age 32, of Bridgeport, was transported to Stamford on Monday, June 27, to face charges in the stabbing death of a Norwalk man.
Copeland was initially arrested in Poughkeepsie, New York, by the US Marshall during a raid on a home on Friday, Feb. 18, said Lt. Thomas Scanlon, of the Stamford Police.

Two men were arrested following a months-long investigation into drug activity, including a fatal overdose, on Long Island.
James Stremel, age 51, of Hicksville, and 39-year-old Jeffrey Huffman, of Levittown, were both arrested on Friday, April 29, according to the Nassau County Police Department
Police said an investigation into drug activity and a fatal overdose on Saturday, March 26, led detectives to an apartment in Levittown on Friday, where investigators saw Stremel and Huffman engage in what appeared to be a drug transaction.

Long Island Man Holds Box Cutter To Throat Of Drug Store Employee, Demands Meds, Police Say
A Long Island man who allegedly held a box cutter to the throat of a pharmacy employee and demanded drugs has been arrested by police.
The incident took place around 4:40 p.m., Tuesday, June 22 at the Keezac Pharmacy on Bedford Avenue in Bellmore.
According to Nassau County Police Robbery Squad detectives, a man, identified, as Patrick Devine, age 33, of Bellmore, entered Keezac Pharmacy, displayed a box cutter, and placed it to the neck of a female employee, and demanded prescription pain medication.

Man, Woman From Nassau County Apprehended After Stealing SUV From Long Island Chick-fil-A
Two Long Island residents were arrested for allegedly stealing an SUV at a restaurant last month after an employee left his keys on a table.
An employee at Chic-fil-A, located at 1991 Broadhollow Road, in East Farmingdale, left the keys to a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse on a table in the dining area on Friday, May 28 at approximately 6:55 p.m., said the Suffolk County Police.
Another employee asked a customer, Jeffrey Dowling, if they were his keys. Dowling said they were and proceeded to steal the vehicle with his accomplice, Stacy Basso, police said.
