It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of Robert W Hanf, fondly known as Bob, on March 22, 2023 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Kathleen Anne Dutney, and his parents, Gertrude and Walter Hanf. Bob Hanf was born on November 18, 1943 in Cambridge and raised in Belmont, Massachusetts, where he attended Belmont High School and graduated with the class of 1961. He went on to earn a liberal arts degree from Harvard College (1965) and a master’s degree in guidance at Harvard Graduate School of Education (1966). After graduating, he moved to Westport where …

Update: Bourne Police report that Matthew Chamberlain was found dead on the riprap of the Cape Cod Canal. Police are looking for a 60-year-old man from Long Island who reportedly went missing in the waters on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, this week. An 83-year-old man who died in a plane crash on Cape Cod was a seasoned pilot, devoted husband and accomplished alumnus of Purdue University. Carl "Rae" Willis died after his small plane crashed at Falmouth Airpark while he and his wife, Candace Oldham, were coming home from a day trip to Westfield last week. 16-Year-Old Girl Killed In Late Night Crash On I-495 In Wareham: Police
A 16-year-old girl from Raynham was killed in a late night crash in just before Cape Cod, authorities said. Police responded to the single-vehicle crash on I-495 in Wareham around 10:54 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 17, Massachusetts State police said. Initial investigation suggests the girl was driving a 2008 Toyota Sienna when, for reasons still under investigation, she veered off the road, went down an embankment and hit a tree. Cape Cod Man Accused Of Killing Mother Dies From Medical Emergency In Jail
A man accused of killing his mother by burning her to death outside their Cape Cod home has died while in jail, reports said. According to the Bristol County Sheriff's Office, Adam Howe, age 34, suffered a medical emergency and died in his cell at Ashe Street Jail in New Bedford. He was taken to St. Luke's Hospital where he was pronounced dead, CBS Boston reports. Waiving Adoption Fees For Rabbits, Guinea Pigs As Cages Fill Up
An adoption free weekend for small animals is just around the corner! As their shelters reach maximum capacity, the MSPCA-Angell and the Northeast Animal Shelter (NEAS) are waiving adoption fees for rabbits, guinea pigs and birds on Sept. 24-25. The MSPCA says there are nearly 200 animals in need of new homes at any one of their shelters in Boston, Methuen and Cape Cod as well as at the NEAS's shelter in Salem.
