Willimantic Artist, Disability Advocate Killed In Route 66 Columbia Crash: CSP
Carissa Kelsy Decelles, a 34-year-old Connecticut artist known for her creative leadership and disability advocacy, was killed in a three-vehicle crash last week.
Troopers responded to the crash on Route 66 near Cards Mill Road in Columbia just before 10:20 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 18, according to Connecticut State Police. Decelles was driving a 2016 Chrysler Town & Country when a 2007 Buick Lucerne, attempting to turn left from Cards Mill Road, entered her path, police said. The Chrysler then collided with a 2018 Ram 1500 traveling westbound on Route 66.
